Where’s all the snow then?
No snow here on the Quantocks (yet).Posted 13 years ago
SW London has enough that as you ride along your lower crank almost touches the snow.. (So I’m guessing a good couple of inches at least)Posted 13 years ago
I think all the snow is in the other threads on the subject Dibbs… 🙂Posted 13 years ago
loads here mate. 😀Posted 13 years ago
My socks are testament to the fact that snow is deeper than my pedalsPosted 13 years ago
2 inches in Cannock, just took my son to school.
Going back to bed now 😀Posted 13 years ago
I’m not waiting much longer, I’ve been at work all night, so I’m spending the day in bed with the electric blanket on. 🙂Posted 13 years ago

Most disappointed to wake up and find no more snow than the very small amount that fell last night in the Peterborough area. It is trying at the moment though….Posted 13 years ago
5 mile commute this morning with about 4 inches in parts – Rutland.
Looks like we may be snowed in at school with 30 EBD kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!Posted 13 years ago
What!! 4″ snow in Rutland….that’s only about 20 mins from me. 😯
I seem to be living in some kind of anti-snow hotspot.Posted 13 years ago
Settling here in North Devon but nothing to bad yetPosted 13 years ago
I seem to be living in some kind of anti-snow hotspot.
I always thought that (living in Nottingham) but the direction the snow has come in from has avoided the geography that normally keeps us pretty much snow-free.Posted 13 years ago
About 2 – 3″ settled on the South Coast. will head out on the South Downs later as it probably a fair bit thicker up there 🙂
Oh and still a little bit falling….Posted 13 years ago
Just been out over Wandsworth Common in SW London and its easily 8 inches.Posted 13 years ago
You’ve had 8″ on Wandsworth Common?
I wouldn’t shout about it ducky.
😉Posted 13 years ago
It would seem that Malvern is also an anti-snow hotspot, given they’re talking about disruption in Shropshire and we’re between there and where the worst of it is. Got my skis in the car today, but I don’t think they’ll be coming out 🙁
I do suspect though that those in the SE see snow so rarely that there’s just a little exaggeration.
its easily 8 inches.
Is that what you tell all the boys?
Just hoping now that it’s cleared up enough by Tuesday night that I can make it to Gatwick for my proper ski trip – whyy does it have to choose to snow this week? 🙄Posted 13 years ago
Snowing like a goodun’ in Cannock at the moment. The ride to work across the Chase was ace! No-one about, untouched snow… superb. Lots of muppets on the roads either end though…Posted 13 years ago
Axle deep in Herts 😯
Toes still numb and face still grinning 🙂Posted 13 years ago
Wimbledon Common was EXCELLENT this morning.
😀Posted 13 years ago
Almost hub deep in parts near me 😀Posted 13 years ago
Great ride in to work watching the ‘my journey is so essential’ motorists skidding oh so gracefully into each other 😆
a fair couple of inches in the peaks!!Posted 13 years ago
Coming down again in Balham SW London. Not as much as earlier but they have forcast more.Posted 13 years ago
Can’t see any here in the frozen north. Think southerners should MTFU like we have to do. Nobody comments when we’re snowed in.Posted 13 years ago
(mostly Guildford)Posted 13 years ago
Think southerners should MTFU like we have to do. Nobody comments when we’re snowed in.
Here we go… 🙄Posted 13 years ago
Only reason comments are made is because its quite unusual for us to have this much snow especially in London!Posted 13 years ago
It only took an hour to get into work this morning in Manchester. Can I have this weather every day please??Posted 13 years ago
loads in slough. Loverly 10 mile canal ride just completed 😀Posted 13 years ago
Nobody comments when we’re snowed in.
Thats because the north is of little importance other than a play area for wealthy southern mountain bikers.
You all have outside toilets and live, work then die within 1/2 mile of where you were born (complete with 12 fingers and webbed feet).Posted 13 years ago
Nice one, Vic!Posted 13 years ago
Yeah dibbs, but thank god for it, i’ve only just put some summer tyres on.Posted 13 years ago
Who is Vic?Posted 13 years ago
We’ve had a good few inches up in Cockermouth, Cumbria. It’s caused mayhem, the roads around us is like a dodgem arena at the fair.Posted 13 years ago
I can’t believe there’s no snow in Malvern.
Well there is some, but only ~1/2 an inch (don’t know if our inches are bigger here). Had this much a few weeks ago, and a lot more a couple of years back.Posted 13 years ago
Snowing steadily here in the coast (Gosport / Ryde), VERY unusual this low down on the coast. Only about 2″ (but it IS cold!)Posted 13 years ago
Slick tyres pumped up on fresh snow are great for practicing your driftage!!
You won’t be getting any in the quantocks.
Not until later in the week at least.Posted 13 years ago
