    Coming up from down south to visit your wonderful city. Any good trails you can recommend for me around the area?

    Also Mrs T loves castles and the like – are there any others around?

    How close to Edinburgh is “around”? If it’s next to Edinburgh the Pentlands are decent, if it’s within an hours drive Glentress, Innerleithen and whatever else the Tweed Valley may have to offer will see you right.

    Edit: if you want a castle and some great riding then the best place i can think of is Drumlanrig.
