For all you ellsworth haters out there, I’m still riding a 2001 Ellsworth isis sl., !00mm travel.
Any other similar bike from that time would be shorter, steeper, more flexy, would have probably snapped ,have a top tube you’d have to pole vault over and have a pivot point somewhere near the head tube [orange 5 of similar vintage]
It’s anodised matt black whilst most bikes look like shell suits to me.
so yes, Ellswoths are rubbish, won’t last and you will be the subject of much derision. Just go for it op.
I also have a set of dave hind wheels that have lasted 14 years with only one broken spoke in that time and have hardly ever needed any re-truing, [best wheels I’ve ever owned, and I’ve wrecked a few. So there you go.
