  • where to buy rear shock shims?

    Hello,
Considering getting a second hand shock for my bike this year (cannondale prophet).
    I’ll probably get either a rs monarch rt3, or a fox rp23.

Because of the high leverage ration / falling rate of the design it needs a firm compression / rebound tune, and these shocks seem to be in short supply second hand.

So, to avoid extra expense of sending off for a tune, I might have a go myself. Does anybody know where I can source shims of a variety of sizes / thicknesses?

    Thanks

Would the large air can tuning spacer not be enough?

Consider a Dhx air? I’m running one on my Prophet and it suits the leverage /ramp rates.
I’m running a small volume air can, 150psi in the boost valve and it fully wound in.

Thanks both, will consider dhx air -thanks for the suggestion.

The air can spacer would help bottom out, but would not firm up the control of the stroke

If the shims are anything like the DHX floating piston (IFP) that I tried buying separately from Mojo then you haven’t a chance!
They wanted £126 to service it plus the price of the IFP.

Fox policy apparently not to sell certain parts separately.
