I’m in a nice position of just being offered a job that starts at the beginning of September so I now have 3 weeks to kill.
Now I’d love to head off to the alps but I just got back from there a few weeks ago and can’t really afford to go out on my own last minute (plus my FS bike is totally knackered after the Mega!) so I’m looking for somewhere UK based to head off for 4 or 5 days riding.
Wheres my best bet? Needs to be cheap camping nearby and not too many miles away from Oxford.
Is South Wales my best option?

Considering Lakes, Kirroughtree and Innerleithen over 4 days

Depends what sort of stuff you want.

I’d either head up to the seven staines or do a bikepacking thing along the ridgeway/south downs/wessex way.

lake district, one big trail centre, plus loads of great beers !
