    would cost virtually nothing and enable owners to have a spare and so not get caught out in case of breakage when touring or away from LBS/supplier…particularly with unusual spoke types. just a thought .

    yeah got two for each with my hope hoops. broke so many rear spokes one year (sticks) i ended up buying a box off ebay, got plenty now :p

    Aye, ironically my only wheelset that’s easy to get spokes for is my Hope set, and they’re the only ones that gave me extras. But it’s a very good idea.

    I presume they’re afraid that if they did that they’d be admitting the spokes might break.

    You could always buy std handbuilt wheels so you can always get spokes easily.
