Foolishly purchased my first iPhone after being totally Android. Gutted to find that all my WhatsApp history is stuck on my old Motorola handset. Does anyone know of a way of getting access to my old messages on my new phone. I’m not very tech savvy and no longer own a laptop etc

Stick sim back in motorola… backup chats to cloud (whatsapp, settings, chat, chat backup).

Put sim in iphone (weep softly at the experience).. then reinstall whatsapp, launch and select option to restore from cloud.

@scrumfeld that wasn’t a thing 3 years ago, don’t know if that’s changed?

I had to use a paid for 3rd party app to do it. Install on both phones, backup on old, restore on new.

I can’t remember the name of it but I’ll see if I can find it.
