It's all changed? I've got some "tour new features" option at the top I can't click on or remove. I've got a "location" option I can't remove. I can't access all the sizes of my pics, or the link option for posting pics on forums etc….

It's all gone to poo! Fix me!

Click on a picture and a large version will come up (with a black border) – top right corner is a size option button – hit it and you'll get a screen you're familiar with.

problem i have found is that it does not give you the direct link to the photo anymore so cannot post pics on forums anymore? just the link to it.

Exactly my issue with it too. Some talented post-ers still seem to be able to do it, have seen 'clickable' pics on the 'photos you're proud of' thread since flickr changed. No idea how to find that link though. Didn't think it was broke in the first place…

I think you go to top left share this then grab the link.

It's been "improved" and the improvements have added several layers of complexity.

To get the image url – go tot page you want, click the image and it will take to the page with the image on a black background. *RIGHT*-click the image and the popup will show you the available sizes. Click on the one you want, then on the resulting page you can right click the image to get the correct URL. a right faff.

edit. you can remove one step

*RIGHT*-click the image you want and the popup will show you the available sizes. Click on the one you want, then on the resulting page you can right click the image to get the correct URL. a right faff.

no, that's the link to the page that you can send to your mate. You need to link to the photo itself, not the page

    Page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/71958789@N00/4704562862/

    "Medium" page : http://www.flickr.com/photos/71958789@N00/4704562862/sizes/m/in/photostream/

    Image:

Is that the bridleway or the footpath? we once got lost and ended up riding down the footpath (genuine error, end of a long day) and it was possibly the most sublime piece of extended technical riding I've ever done

    alternatively:

right click the image, select properties, copy the image url then paste into forum with image tags

The new layout is crap and takes a lot longer to load on both the connections I've been using it on.

    Or use Photobucket.

Hey, bloody heck! Just managed to post from flickr!
Photo buck is still much easier though!

The new "improved" Flickr is a PITA.

    I'm looking elsewhere.

The old flickr was a PITA too but the new one more so (imho). Extra mouse clicks (i think) to add pics to set/group, and also to view the group/set to which a pic belongs.
Thought there was something in the T+Cs about pics not being used directly without an http hotlink?

Cant stand photobucket. Gallery gets on my nerves too because the prev/next buttons move for each pic for half of the templates if the size/orientation changes. Will stick with picasa for now, and flickr only for photo-a-day.

    This should work:

This script for Greasemonkey (plug-in for Firefox) adds an extra box to the Grab HTML section and produces the BBCode (with link) for you.

    It says here that

We understand that many people were using that link on message boards to show their images and we are working on a solution that will allow you to post using BBCode (standard message board code) that links back.

In the meantime as above it can still be done
