Morgans spiced rum. Goes with me to the coppice.
Its a cheap spirit but warm and sweet when you need it.

Not normally a hip flasker but when I do sambuca or southern comfort, I can’t drink the usual hip flask material.

Aye, I’d rather drink Night Nurse than some of that other guff 😉

Whisky Mac is a nice winter tipple for the old bike rides…

Is a bit of whisky allowed (alright quite a lot!) – Rusty Nail for me if not a malt.

I might experiment with rum this year though. My hip flask only comes out on rides between xmas and new year and fly fishing with my dad (he died this year so comes vicariously via the hip flask instead!)

    +1 for Calvados

Although some marc de muscat warms the cockles very nicely.
As for genepy, there’s a reason why they infuse the base alcohol with foul tasting herbs #notfittorunacaron 😆

Arran Gold is much like Baileys, but nicer IMHO, not sure its a hip flask material though……
lethal though if you accidentilly didnt realise you drank 2/3 bottle in an hour.

might have to start trying some Rum then in mine….

I know it says no whiskey, but not exactly straight malts…

    +1 for Rusty nail.

Fireball cinnamon whiskey is an interesting winter warmer.

Also like a bit of run, dark navy rum or Morgans spiced

    On a bonfire-nightride a few years back, hip-flasks full of this…

… combined with large fireworks, and a good few beers caused predictable mayhem. You know who you are Graham!

    Port & Brandy 50/50 measure.

    Keeps me lovely and warm.
