- What's good in the world?
Yesterday was “Blue Monday” the official worst day of the calendar year which means that today is the day that is the furthest away from the Blue Monday – this is good, the worst of the year is over.
Short term solution for surviving January – buy or think about buying more bike parts.Posted 3 years agoScapegoatSubscriber
My son who managed to detonate a display grade landmine in his face on bonfire night has just been for an eye test which confirms his eyesight is good enough to drive again. He can even see well enough to return to clay shooting. His scars are healing and his skin is rejecting the grit and burnt powder. Happy days.Posted 3 years agophiljuniorMember
Not IN this world, but you can see Venus and Mars from about sunset in the UK. Brightest “star” in the sky is Venus, about 2″ to the left and 1″ up is Mars. It’s red.
And I managed to (just about) make out the crescent shape of Venus for the first time earlier in the year (or perhaps very late last year) (with a telescope).
And people are going to start realising how little substance there is to people like Trump, and vote him out. And every day is a day closer to the day he dies which, more likely than not, will be before you do.Posted 3 years agoLATSubscriber
I should move to Texas or somewhere warm with mountains.
Texas has a horrible climate and not much in the way of mountains. The BBQ, and pretty much all the food other there, is rather disgusting. However, a lot of people do have placky bangers, so the tits are covered. On the whole, Texas isn’t very nice. The beer is good though.
When it comes to wondering what’s good in the world, not much of it is in Texas. My advice would be to go somewhere warm with mountains.Posted 3 years ago
