  • What’s best to clean algae/mould off a canvas tilt on our old pick up?

As title, going a bit green/mouldy, there seems to be lots of products out there but am reluctant to try anything that might bleach/stain it so any recommendations? It’s a quite big area, maybe 4 x 2 x 1.5m. Thanks

Fenwicks awning cleaner was great for cleaning up our caravan awning after it had been out on a winter seasonal pitch from Sept to March the other year. Got rid of pretty much all the dirt and sporty green algae that had developed in places.

I use mould and mildew remover on lots of stuff, the benefits of living in an old house, even works perfectly on the bathroom textile roller blind. It’s a quid a bottle in savers, worth trying on a wee part, or on a similar type of material?.

    It’s tremendous stuff.

+1 for mattbee’s suggestion – Tent or awning mould remover/cleaner works well on LR canvas tilts, can then reproduce with tent stuff too 👍

A solution of bio washing powder in a bucket and brushed on then rinsed off works fine on roof of a campervan that has green algae on it .
