I have a selection of fruit beers to fill my evening.

First up is Brewdog’s – Beastie. A bramble beer. It’s quite tasty.

Just offed a couple of cans of lager to start the evening, but the main event is one of MrsJA’s spectacular lasagnes and a bottle of Languedoc – bought abroad, naturally…

Chilean Red. Anakena, perfectly acceptable. The slippers are adding to the effect in front of the fire.

My spectacular lasagne is in the oven. Might have to open the second bottle of wine to accompany it, though. Oops.

Coke! You want something fluorescent orange and made from girders. Probably have a nip of Lagavulin distillers choice later.

A bottle of Brains Reverend James just been finished.

Going out later and will probably have a couple of pints of Nutbrook Brewery – Mongrel which is the guest beer in my local this week. It’s a lovely dark beer.

Homebrewed Green Hop Pale Ale using hops freshly picked from a mate’s garden. Pint #3 going down nicely 🙂 . I was paying £3.40 last night for ales no better than this compared with my ingredient cost of about £15 for 50 litres of homebrew 🙂

it’s Uigeadail, special blend of other types of Ardbergs aged in sherry casks, 54.2%. It blows your mouth off, so I add a touch of water to soften it and make the flavours more recognisable. Epic malt.

Let’s see the rest of your stock brakes.

embarrasingly, that’s all I have at the mo. recently finished a Caol Ila (my favourite) and a Jura.
never really liked whisky, but discovered the Islay malts a couple of years ago and they blew my mind.
couldn’t get on with the Uigeadail when I first got it (present from my Mum!) but added a bit of water (something I’d kicked against previously) and it transformed it.
