Have to agree, Adidas Samba (or super samba in leather) but blue suede is cooler. I have always had at least one pair since 1996. Easily my favriout 5 a side / pub shoe.

Something with a broad, and not too tall footbed, so as to see off the old twisted ankle!!

I got some Diadora for a tenner, not very well made and been sown up once by mother already,
    but going strong now!

sambas are great for the pub but not much grip on indoor courts IMHO, I use badminton shoes

Trouble with indoor pitches, is the type of surface used. Some trainer/surface combos work better than others. Plus, most places insist on non-marking outsoles, which tend to be harder rubber, quite often, and therefore not quite as grippy. Sambas probbly aren’t the best, as they are more of a ‘retro’ fashion trainer.

    Plenty of trainers here.

‘Badminton’ trainers uppers are too lightweight for footie. Better off with leather or similar synthetic material, not canvassy type stuff.

I bought some trainers for 12 quid from sports world, they’ve done me fine!
