So round our way (‘Ull) it looks like the weekend is going to be cold, clear and dry. Lovely. But where we were planning on riding (Peak) it looks REALLY cold, with temps well below freezing and ‘realfeel’ of around -10. Now this in itself is not a problem, but it’s been pretty wet recently so I reckon there’s a fair chance all the lovely grippy Peak gritstone will be frozen solid slippery death, all the puddles will definitely be frozen icy death BUT the mud might well be lovely frozen solid.

So – do I drive out to the Peak and hope that it’s fun and not an ice rink? Or do I stick to local and hope our horrible clay muddy trails are frosted hard enough to be fun?
