  • What SS chainring for an XTR chainset

I’ve just finished a Jeff Jones-esk polish and cut down of some XTR M960 cranks. I read they need a 102 BCD size chainring and not the regular 104 BCD. Anyone else running XTR’s with a single ring? What chainring are you using? I’ll be looking for a 34t.

Just waiting for mine to be delivered.
Don’t bother with the Blackspire Mono, it’s total and utter shite.

cranks look great by the way 🙂

Thank you both. Having only run steel 32t before I’d be interested in how long an aluminium ring would last.

Stunning. How did you do it?

Seconded for the Homebrew components rings – I have three different ones, Middleburn Uno, XTR size, and a standard one. All are wearing very well, some loss of anodising on the teeth, but it’s not soft cheese aluminium – unlike the Blackspire mono rings, which are proper sh1te.
