I have a Tongsheng fitted to my shopper and it’s great apart from the Q factor.
Even with better crank arms it’s still giving me grief.
If I can’t sort the pedals out I’m going to need a rear wheel drive kit.
It must be 250 w and so quiet you won’t notice it.
    Guidance please.

Might ergotec pedals that reduce Q factor and slope outwards v. slightly to help your knees do the trick?

Alternatively ergon or specialized insoles are supposed to help with foot/knee position.

If you do give up on the tongshen I’ll have it off you 🙂

Hob motors are not as nice a riding experience.  torque sensing ( even if fitter) does not work as well

Which crank arms did you go for and what q-factor are they? It’s the only thing that annoys me about my Tongsheng kit.

    These.

They bring each one in a cm. Just changing the drive side helps even them up….a bit!
The Shimano Steps are also good and can be 165 long which will also help.

Cheers, I looked at those recently. I’d quite like a RH one that brings it in 2cm – at least the cranks would be central then 🙂

I’ll try and have a proper measure tonight.

You are 14mm better off with the bafang cranks drive side.

Cheers for that, useful info! Sorry I can’t help with your rear wheel quest.
