I use michelin country rock, plenty of cuts in the tyre to disperse water, but very little rolling resistance. Cheap and chearful at a tenner each. I’ve even used them on dry dusty and damp trails becuase I couldn’t be bothered to change them.

I think I use continental city contact. Slicks are fine unless it’s snowy or slushy and even then it’s doable if not sensible.

My biggest tip would be to get armoured puncture proof tyres. While you won’t get as many punctures on the road they are a right pain as they always seem to come at the worst times when you are running late already and it’s raining.

A useful suggestion I feel as you’ve had a wee bit on snow recently
