    Hi,

I’ve got some vision disc 30 wheels which can only be converted to 10mm thru axle.

On another bike I have the aluminium hadley 10mm thru axle which is great. I know the superstar ones are available but they are very heavy.

Anyway searching through my parts box I found this.10mm bolt thru

I think I got it on a 2nd wheels years ago.

The problem is I dont have the tool to use it.

Is it a very old DT SWISS RWS Axle ?
This image looks similar to it ? all the new ones seem use a allen key fitting.

Yep, it’s what’s left of a DT Swiss RWS through bolt when you chew up the original, soft, Nylon lever. The new ones use an alloy lever that works far better. I don’t think you can buy the aluminium lever separately though.

Edit: I might have an aluminium lever assembly lying about – long story – I’ll have a look later.

    Cheers Badly Wired Dog,

I wonder if I could dipped it in some solvent … the end might unscrew and I could just put a normal bolt on it.
