  • What headset for tapered steerer to fit 44mm headtube?

Hi all, I’ve got the frame with internal 44mm headtube diameter and tapered steerer Rock Shox forks. I was wondering if there’s anything else on the market than Nukeproof headset that would do the job? Not that I dislike Nukeproof, I was just wondering if there are other options to choose from…

    Cheers!

Thanks! CK is not what I can afford atm, Cane Creek doesn’t do 44mm 1.5″ lower and I’ve missed the Hope one as I couldn’t find it on their web(missed “the brochure”). Great stuff, have a nice weekend!

Having just been shopping for my new Ragley Blue Pig X I can reveal the following:

Cheapest option is the Raleugh M-Part Exile one from Parker International at £37 +p&p

Nukeproof do one and CRC have it for £41 inc p&p

Hope mix n Match integral 44mm top and tradition external 44mm/ 1.5 inch bottom from Merlin £52

And I didn’t bother to cost anything above the Hope as it seemed pointless.

I bought the Hope and it is very smooooooooth

I have a cane creek, for my tapered forks. It’s a 110 mind.
They didn’t do a 40, but I think they do now. I’m sure I’ve seen it listed when I was purchasing mine.
