Due to ship out to Oz in a few weeks and I intend on cycling to work, and seeing as I’ll be there for a year, I want something I can just go and buy off the peg. I’m after a light, nippy hardtail circa the £1k mark. I’ve seen the Trek 8000 and spec/looks wise it’s a winner. Not tried one yet but that’s the kind of thing.

TBH i’d just go to your local bikeshop and see what they’ve got. Apart from anti-croc guards aussie bike arent any different to the rest of the worlds.
