Planning on going Saturday, anyone seen the state of the place? Is it very muddy?

Black route used to get very muddy in two places, othersise it was fine… couldn’t speak for the red route (never did it) but I hear its very good.

    Mud, Pah

Last time i was up there (few weeks back) it was all good doesn’t suffer with mud really. I rode it after a heavy downfall and the place i got dirty was blasting along the fire road to the bombholes

Last Saturday the hundred yards or so of switchbacks into Purple Mountain was hilarious – no brakes, no steering style sloppy mud that doesn’t slow you down but you can’t grip on. Couple of other bits like that but most was OK. That said I was going slow as I’d twisted my ankle before I went – couldn’t walk, but strangely cycling wasn’t too bad.
