So over the weekend I was at BikeParkWales (woohoo etc) and when I unpacked the bike today I counted 32 wet spots in the dust on the front wheel alone. I’m glad to see the Stans is doing its job but how many little cuts can a tyre take until I should swap it before it fails catastrophically? 🙂

That’s not cuts, it’s the tyre being a bit porous. Shit happens, ride on and top up every few months.

Some of them definitely are cuts as you can see them. On the rear, a few are on the sidewall. Tiny nicks like shaving cuts. Some wet patches are usual, what was unusual was the increase after BPW.

The tread isn’t that worn so I’m definitely going to top up the stans and expect it has done the job it is in there for.
