    Day 1:
    Arm blimmin' hurts.
    All joints ache. Mild headache.

    Vision fine.
    Heart rate fine.
    Appetite fine.

The Mrs reports much the same. Sore arm, "tingly" skin, aching joints. Day 2, she's just feeling a wee bit "wabbit".

What a potentially brilliant, macabre idea for a post. 😀

Look forward to reading it as it develops…

Why did you have the flu jab Doc?

Im guessing you are young and fit and would survive a bit of a cold so why have some rushed through vaccine that HMG have been pushing NHS managers to inflict on their staff?

Whats wrong with swine flu if youre young other than a few days off sick surfing porn and buying things from Wiggle?

Any carriers of H1N1 willing to come and sneeze on me? Or even send me a used tissue? (I can cover postage with PayPal gift…)

    Wife's preggers!
I'm willing to lose an eye and have alternate fingers fall off for what probably is a rushed out jab, but don't want to bring the nastyness home to my lovely lady and unborn child!

I wouldn't have had it otherwise – 2 weeks off work shamizzle – bonus!

don't you only deal with dead people anyway?

Am I wrong to decline both seasonal and H1N1 jabs? Am in high risk group (Type 1 diabetes) and have never suffered from colds/flus in general and other members of my family that have had the seasonal jab in the past and were similar to me in not suffering then went on to spend every winter sniffling, coughing and sneezing.

Well I'd say yes, although I am wholly unqualified to make such an assessment. Why would the fact that you have never had the 'flu (the cold is a totally different virus) mean that you won't get this 'flu? It is highly unlikely that you have any immunity to this variant of the virus. Whilst it is true to say that in most people who contract the 'flu will be fine some do die and it is those people with underlying conditions that are likely to suffer more.

This 'flu vaccine is as safe as all the others and has gone through the same amount of testing that the 'flu vaccine normally goes through. Were I to be offered it, which is unlikely given my personal circumstances, then I'd take it.

You might need several more jabs after spending 3 hours in my van last Sunday! Made a decision on the missus yet? We haven't.

    mine is. Possibly today.

Let's not start another debate unless you want to cover something that wasn't covered in:
