I’d not have wanted to walk another marathon the next day 🙂

My sister walked the PCT and routinely did repeated 30 mile days, self-supported.

Not sure. I guess if the average person was accompanied by a camera team, medical team, physio, psychologist, a resoucre team, managment, publicist and the chance to make money from publicity via media (TV,internet, mags etc) I’m sure they could have managed it as well

So do you think you could do it then?

I wouldn’t like to even try, but as I mentioned above, Eddie isn’t special, physically. I think he was able to do this because of his mental toughness.
(And it helped having the medical backup, but nothing removes from what is a pretty impressive feat.)

Very impressive. Given that a 54 year old non runner can do it, is this more of a mental challenge? (Assuming your body doesn’t fall apart.)

Well he was a non-runner before 2009 when he ran 43 marathons in 52 day.
