This is weird, no matter which way I think about it – plain weird.
Went on a ride, just coming back, come through a trail to a fire road, by a bridge and I see this….

Not that bad, until I get a bit closer and yes, it is a life-sized plastic horse…..really! With saddles, reigns, tails, head – the whole 9 yards.

No one around, about 4.30pm, about 0.5k to civilisation. Decided it was weird, so got my phone out and took some pics, stood back a bit and there was another one – on the other side of the water, looking “dead” – here it is

I live close to the New Forest, just to add some context – it’s very horsey…but I find the 2 most immediate questions I am left with are:-
    1. What is happening here?
    2. Why has the 2nd plastic horse got testicles, when Action Man doesn’t qualify?

Horse rescue training, the dummy horse will be weighted to resemble the weight of a real one.

Expect a load of firemen soon.

Maybe, but it was like the Marie Celeste, not a soul around for miles….maybe they were hiding in the undergrowth, or were ninja firemen?

Fire Service animal rescue training. Hampshire FRS train pretty much every brigade in England and many worldwide. Did my course with them, good bunch.

Training it might be, but doesn’t explain the large “sack” on the 2nd horse 😯

Its the indian who looks sexy. Not so much the nazi salute or elvis presley’s trousers, its the playboy bunny ears.

If that horse wore bunny ears I wouldn’t be able to control myself.

There was probably a 3 hour health and safety video to sit through before they were allowed anywhere near the plastic horse 😆

Always strikes me as funny that the fire service won’t attend a non injured elderly patient who has pressed their careline button for assistance… an almost daily occurrence

Yet they train and train for the rarer possibilities of large animal rescues

Perhaps there is greater media exposure ?
