I’m entirely happy to live in a largely unarmed country, and this nonsense troubles me considerably.
But, if you did have to live in the strange world of the Red States’ fever-dreams, what would be your weapons of choice?
After thinking about it for very little time, I’d go for:
Smith and Wesson .38 Model 10 Special, for taking to the shops, going to the pub, general hanging out and waiting for the muslims to start something.
Brown leather shoulder holster, maybe take it to the tattoer. A bit like this one:
For defending my home and family against Mexican rapists, I’m torn. Aesthetically, I want a big-bore wooden-stocked lever-action rifle. Like this Marlin:
But in the real world those big rounds risk over-penetration and collateral damage. Probably going to go for a Mossberg 930 SPX:
I’m presuming n+1 applies throughout. Try it, STW friends. Fantasy gun-porn is quite good fun…
Great Bristolian gallery, I believe it started out as a series of competitive live illustration and graffiti events.. Held in nightclubs around the country..
I don’t really like guns, but if I’ve got to choose one, it would be this, it’s a WW1 era Mauser. I saw one in the flesh in a War Museum in Canberra – everyone who’s ever been to Canberra has probably seen it, as there’s only one thing to do in Canberra – visit the museum and this was the star for me because it looks so ludicrous.
The picture doesn’t really do it justice in isolation, it just looks like a bolt action rifle, because it is, but it’s an “anti-tank” bolt action rifle – whoever who was asked to design it scratched their head, thought “how am I going to built a weapon to destroy these new ‘tanks’ the Tommy’s are using?” looked as a design for a rifle and just made all the measurements 3 times bigger – it’s HUGE.
Revolvers are reliable but offer limited capacity and are very slow to reload unless you know what you are doing. I’d go for a Glock 17 with its 17 round magazine.
if ammo was no issue then a nice simple browning 1911… however once the bullets run out then one of these…

Something really really simple to use, scary looking for intimidation (ideally with the ability to do something noisy, like pumping a shotgun) and not much recoil. And either really easy to hit things with, like a shotgun, or lots of bullets. Not too much penetration, when you see people with high powered rifles for “home defence” that’ll go through 2 walls and shoot someone next door, it’s a bit weird.
Possibly this:
TBH I defend my house by locking the doors, and not having any guns for people to accidentally or deliberately shoot themselves with.

P90 for me, once I’ve disembarked from the runabout ^^
H&K USP Compact 9mm for concealed carry/bedside purposes. Lovely, lovely weapon, amazing balance for something with the power it has.
H&K MP5K with extended mags, safety mod, holosight and grip torch/laser for coming down the stairs duty.
Saiga 12 for close quarters stopping duty.
For something more protracted then I’ll grab all of those along with the ClawGear vest that carries spare mags and a 1911 in a chest holster…….
Oh – and the leg holster with another 1911 and two spare mags because you absolutely can never have enough.

Glock for me while S&W revolver as backup etc …
Bennelli M4 with traditional pump action as backup.
Marlin is very nice … yeap … get that too.
Tavor Bullpup everyday carry …
AK47 & 67 – for full fireworks
Daewoo K2 – for full fireworks.
Howa Type 89
Valmet M76
AR-15
M1 Carbine
HnK USP Compact 9mm for concealed carry/bedside purposes
Ah! So that’s where I’ve been going wrong, I thought I was suppose to use my other weapon of choice for bedside duties. Thanks!

Sounds as if you’ll be so heavily armed you’ll probably fall over and not be able to get up. So while you’re laying on the floor, prostrate and helpless under your load of weapons, I could just rock up and poke you in the eye.
