Hope you are all well; long time no speak.

My 5 year old son has started talking incessantly about ‘Watch Cars’.

I have Googled them and YouTubed, have seen videos and games but… I just don’t get it.

Is a Watch Car a physical thing I can buy?

I am loath to buying something from China at $80 if its just a fad, but its obviously something that he has seen.

Normally I know about things or can at least find out but this one has really got me stumped.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Well I’ve gone down that wormhole. Well done to the marketing team. I’ve discovered it’s a cartoon but one can buy a watch strap with a car attached to it that can then do battle with the oher person that has the same. Thefor 2x $80 in the first place. Of course it looks exciting to a 5 year old but trying to explain that it is just ‘tat’ and will be nothing like the cartoon ‘battles’ is a no go.
He’s currently writing to Santa for one….

I wonder if I get him a Tamiya RC ( I’m an RC fan) then I can win him over.
