Wasp nest in me garage, what am I gonna do?

Leave something really smelly burning in the garage. Old oily rags etc they will PUFO

What’s the specific way – very interested as for some reason our patio was almost unusable because of the stripy little feckers; if I got one of these and hung under the eaves of my shed how far away will prospective invaders stay?

I filled it with a combination of torn newspaper, foam and bit of sandpaper. It has to be able to appear light and also make a little scratching sound.
Neighbour told me that the previous owner was plagued with wasps but in 2 years since the expulsion and waspinator I have none.
I’m not opening the hatch now…just in case.
