Friday evening. Just enough time for a quick spin round the woods and a squeezed in half hour of digging.

squeezed in half hour of digging.

Misread that as “dogging”, was confused by pictures.

We went for a play on the dusty downhill tracks at Hopton pre weekend, which was epic 🙂 then we’ve been playing on the local trails and jumps n drops. Lovely ride with my daughter this morning! Play in the woods on bikes, can there be a greater pleasure in life?!?

Managed a quick couple of hours this morning before heading up to Didsbury for lunch with the daughter, then off to Nottingham shortly for a gig

Not much time to spare this weekend, so local trail, tech and jumps.

Trails were a mixture of prime and still a bit muddy in spots. Beautiful with the bluebells, and not too many people out – fairly quiet.

Sent one of the new bigger gap jumps that has been built over the winter… there’s a few slightly bigger yet ones I’ve got my eye on now (maybe not the huge ones…) My excuse for not hitting them today was having light trail/XC wheels on – could feel the wheel flexing on the berms.

    Somewhere in Umbria…

Was a lovely ride up until the last 6m where I went from asphalt to gravel just in front of the van…..

Managed to face plant straight into the floor….

Smashed my face, my shoulder, my elbow, my knee and my shoulder into ground…

Sun came out for a second day so we did the same…

Weather turned from torrential rain to a lovely afternoon. After much deliberation, I threw my gear on and got out there.

The beauty of an ebike. Set off at 16.30, back in the garden for 18.15 including photo/piss stops – 14 miles, 2000ft, 1hr 20 mins moving time.

Made even sweeter by the fact that if you’d told me 4 months ago I’d be riding my bike at Sunday tea time, I wouldn’t have believed you, I’d normally have been drunk

I’ve ridden most days this week but only took a few pics from two rides.

I was so close to getting the KOM on one of my favourite local trails, doesn’t help that the current holder is a local pro and the current British Cyclocross Champion……. 😉
