Used to be some fella called Jimmy persuading us to belt up, back in the 70s eh? Who’d a thunk it.
My question is though – ok these seatbelts, this in car camera stuff to prevent deaths.. there is also an existing technology which would do the same, maybe prevent even more deaths than the other 2 I think. I can’t understand why electric cars don’t have it.
Black box technology. I have one in my car, just to measure the mileage for my insurance, but it does log my speed. My son has one that measures a lot more and logs it to his insurance company. It doesn’t actually stop him speeding, but it will cost him money if he does. He’s been completely safe in his first year of driving and I put this down to the black box.
If all drivers had to have them, surely this (how did they put it in that video?) “violation of human rights”? which is how the majority would see it, would be worth it?
