I was thinking about doing this as it’s only over the road but just looking at last year’s event and it’s all road bikes. Is it a bad idea to try this on an early 90’s rigid?

You could it on MTB but there are cut offs for time getting round, so you’d need to be able to keep about 12-13mph i think.

Funny course, really quite flat apart from Tumble and other big hill, i don’t think i saw anyone else on MTB though.

Last year it want passed my house about 9miles in, I saw people on bromptons and mtbs, no idea how far those people got though. No short course this year so I doubt those people will be doing it again.

Hmm. Presumably its just much more of a slog on a mountain bike because of weight and body postion? I’ve never ridden a road bike so not sure how diffrent it is.
