So, does anyone else use a drill on slow setting?
We used a mates mortar remover tool and clamped the tool part in the drill so we could thread the rod into and it worked ok for two sweeps last year but the thread has gone on the toolt today.

Any idea of if there is a proper connector we can use?

I’ll try and add a pic.

    Cheers

The torque required will wreck a drill. They’re setup for high power over short periods of time. An electric paint or plaster stirrer would be better.

18v drill was ok on minimal speed last time tbh.
I’ll still use one as the difference it made was noticeable.
I Just need to source some sort of adapter.

What about a long socket with a 1/4”sq drive to 1/4” hex adapter?

Yes lots of sweeps use them. If you have a liner fitted be careful you don’t damage it. Have a look at rotarypowersweeping.co.uk

I use a power sweep system, easy and works great with a boosch 18v drill

Had a quick look at the power sweep system but was working out at £350 for the whole kit?

Hot_fiat has come up with a cheap solution. 👍

I have this kit, good for heavy DIY use at around £80.
    Sweepy

I got it locally, but think it’s on Amazon too.

Something I never thought about trying but at this price I’m tempted.
