Not got a pot of cash.

Don’t need the latest or biggest.

I just want something for Strava, WhatsApp, Twitter and this place.

    Any ideas?

Bought a Moto G6 as a work phone, and for the money it’s fantastic. So, whatever the new version of that is, or a second hand/refurb one.

Seriously, it’s really good value for money.

I have found Huawei to be vgfm at the £120 mark (can’t remember the models, P8 lite?).

Tried a short pixel 1 against my 1 year old one last year, no better.

Xiaomi phones, choose your budget, pick the one that suits. Or as previous said Moto G7, reviews seem to suggest the standard G7 is enough, no need to go for the G7 plus.

What was your last phone and what is wrong with it?

Moto E (I think). It is buzzes and shows the Android screen then goes black. Then repeats. Been doing it for an hour or so now.

Bang for your buck has to go to Motorola G6 or G7 TBH.

    another moto fan.
Mrs has an older C plus or something (£85). Before that a G4 (that she dropped from, a great height. £120). I have an E4 plus and it’s monster battery. £120 I think. Sim only. Reliable. Robust (dropped mine a few times, no case)
Will get another current Moto/big battery when this dies.

I am writing this on a G6 play. Yesterday I strapped it to the bars of my road bike and ran Google maps and Strava for the ride without a problem. I think you can buy them at Tesco, unlocked.
It’s my only phone and does everything fine.

Thanks all. I think I’ll be getting a G6 Play from Tesco at lunch.
