Hmm, yes, it is hopelessly out of date, that might be why we had another in 2011 that came up with the figure of 63 million

Now, I can accept it being a bit out with people not filling it in / avoiding etc… But not by 14 million

There’s about 25 million households, so that’s nearly one extra person hiding in every attic when the census came round.

Having been involved in census data collection I can confirm that it’s nowhere near 14m.

Unless you know what the *trend* in the data is what difference does the actual figure make?

What did the supermarkets say the population was in 2001 for instance?

Consider that world population has risen to 350% since 1950. I’d suggest the UK is doing quite well at 150%. 😆
