I’ve signed up to the first one in Afan but i’m wondering if any one here has done one before?

I’m wondering if the timed trails are going to be on the established trails at Afan or are going to more natural?

How long/far are the linking sections?

I’m pretty excited about it though, looks like great fun.

Lol who knows what do the organisers say?

Previous ones have been a normal day ride with a mas section thrown in

They don’t seem to allude towards what trails are going to be used, which is fine as it’ll be a more level playing field but I’d kind of want to now how far I need to train for.

I’m not in the peak of physical fitness but i’m not bad so I’ll guess we’ll see!

Never been to Afan, but the previous events have usually been a ‘lap’ of a normal trail with 5 timed sections along it. Sometimes we go the wrong way along a section to create a dh timed trail that is a climb on the normal trail.

    Doing a quick Google, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a lap of W2 @ 44km, so better get training 😆

I’d be surprised if it was all official trails. I’d expect a couple of offpiste timed sections.
