  • Tyre width for BPW uplift.

Heading to BPW on Friday, and just realised Mrs Readys tyres are 2.8” Maxxis Rekons. I’m on 2.6” SE4 Bontys and they look the same width but the BPW website says uplift trailer will take 2.75” maximum.
Am I wasting my time? Or will it just about squeeze in?

Take a CO2 inflator, let some air out at the bottom so they will squeeze in, top up when you get to the top.

    Sorted.

Given every tyre blows up slightly differently depending on brand and rim choice / width I’d be amazed if anyone is going to stop you for 0.05 of an inch. I believe the couple of spaces closest to the front of the trailer are slightly wider for bigger tyres.

I’ve had 2.8 Rekons on 50mm rims in there.
Bit tight but you can force them in.

They have a wide slot on some of the trailers

The wide slot is near the front on most of the trailers.
