Yes,160mm talas with the 20mm bolt through, run it at 130mm most of the time with the 160 on the downs.Turner does not encourage it as you can flair the head tube( the DW model has been alterd to take 160mm forks)i don’t abuse the frame fork with large jumps but i like the 36 for its stiffness and tracking.I also have a Talas 32 but it just feels better with the 36.
Radoggair tell me more about this horst link rear end ive got an 08 spot
simples… crash your bike, go to bike shop saying you fell of a kerb. At that exact point the manager just happens to be selling his rear end of an 05 horstlink version of his 5 spot ( lucky i guess). Before Specialized patented the horstlink when turner paid zip for the use of it, the pivot (nearest the cassette) was on the lower swingarm, after 06 they moved it upto the bottom of the horizontal swingarm. Supposedly the bottom pivot helped during braking and controlled the rear alot better. Anyone else explain it better??
You can see on this pic that the pivot is on downtube of awingarm, previous was on the bottom swingarm
That makes sense??
Hl end just bolts on. Tho having now ridden both personally i cant tell the difference between the two . Then again you may have to be a good rider to spot it lol
