Going Ghetto over the weekend and when I last tried tubeless I found that the single ply High Rollers I used deformed a bit too readily and you’d feel the rim banging the ground more often as there was no tube to offer additional support. Do you chaps use double ply tyres to avoid this or what?

Were they the LUST High rollers or just the standard ones?

Just the regular single ply High Rollers.

I did a conversion yesterday and caught it all on video:

I know how to do it, I was just wondering if people used thicker walled tyres at all. Anyway, I’ve order 2 UST folding High Rollers instead to get a thicker wall but same weight as my wire single plys.

Using normal single ply maxxis Minion and Crossmark here. I don’t run pressures lower than 35psi as i found the tyres do sqirm abit.

Went out last night without checking the pressures for a couple of weeks and achieved my first ever “burp” after landing a jump less than smoothly. A few blasts with my pump and i was fine. I’m not after super grippy tyres just no more thorn punctures.

14.5 stone kitted up, HR’s 2.35 single ply folding on DT 5.1’s run them at 36psi
    and never had a problem.
