Been looking at the Trekmates Flameless Cookbox kits.
Basically you add a heat pack and cover with water to an outer box and then put in an inner box with your food in and the chemical reaction from the heat pack cooks your food. It claims it will cook the rehydrated food in approx 10 mins. You can also buy a flask for drinks.
Its not the cheapest solution but for the occasional times I am bikepacking seems a good idea? Compact light and simple.
