Ripped 2 new tyres in a month, haven’t ripped any other tyres for…years? Not round here anyway. Will put up with slipping around on my normal tyres.

If you want another tyre test I have a couple of 1.95 trailrakers you can have Harry. I used to use them in the mudfests of Leeds & Harrogate areas. I can drop them off next time I’m in the Settle area or visiting Phil’s wife in Ingleton.

pennine, that’d be grand and much appreciated. Very surprised as the BWs round here are, for the main, well worn and smooth limestone, in fact the last one that I ripped was riding last week in a foot of snow! Tempted to put on the DH casing wetscreams!

I didn’t have a problem running them tubeless, but its ‘soft’ down here.

But moved to Mud X’s as IME they’re a better winter tyre for what I need.

Completely agree. I had two sidewalls go on me last winter. It is the downside for a otherwise good gloop-fest tyre.

Thats interesting, I couldn’t understand why my 1.95 trailraker sidewalls wore out so quickly! No problem with other panaracers at all!
