My shoes are moving forward. Tough project but good fun. On v4 now. They are a low drop, low stack trail shoe.

So yes, drop is difference between heel and forefoot. Stack is also forefoot to ground.

So a low stack and low drop shoe is low to the ground. But you can also have stuff like the Hokas that have huge stack height and zero or low drop too.

I like low drop shoes as I have weak ankles and a love of barefoot running.

Well you’d be surprised to hear that North American trail shoe doesn’t fare terribly well in Scottish dubs….

How ever no ankles were rolled

    The rocks were plesent

You felt planted running from rock to rock.

In all probably won’t wear them for that run on a regular basis as it’s not the right shoe…but for the events o have in mind this year I think they will be grand.

It’s a different feeling a bit like running on custard but I will say I felt alot less beat up – and it’s a trail I regularly run. …..also despite scrabbling round in the mud I posted my fastest run on the route…..with a 155ave hr- I will say that’s a coincidence more than anything to do with shoes
