I’m planning to attempt the “station to station” ride which goes from Marsden to Milnrow via Standedge and back again via Denshaw Moor.

Justr wondered – is this anyone’s local stomping ground? Is it likely to be a sh!tbath or can I expect to make decent progress?

    Cheers

If you go up the old pack horse road out of Marsden to go up over Pennines into denshaw at this time of year it’s usually a peat bath but if you like fun and carrying you bike then go for it

I live 2 mins from Denshaw moor, the rockier sections will be fine,
where your riding over the peat though with all this rain, gonna be
sticky black goop,My mate went out on the tops last weekend took
him 6 hours to clean all the gunk off!

thanks for the feedback….I don’t mind stumbling across gloop but I don’t go looking for it!

Might be best left until frost or drier seasons then…
