If anybody’s in Cardiff this weekend there’s a load of John Deere’s parked outside the castle. From the early ones to the latest. Would make a great picture. Sadly my phone was dead as I went past 😥

I didn’t take many pictures but 2 weeks ago we partook in the national steam plough championships, you are now in the midst of a champion ploughman! 🙂

I’ve got a few photos which I’ll sort out and get posted up, we were using our Z7’s a matching pair that were back from Zimbabwe in the 70’s.

We had a total of 22 steam engines ploughing our farm were pulling them around the place with our Allis Chalmers crawlers.

Well, if we are allowed construction and forrestry equipment can I have this?

Yes, I think it is a Cheiftan, not certain though.
It was actually right next to the cyclo cross track I racd on last Sunday, we went passed it about 5 yards from the right of the picture each lap.

No, I’m not going to ride them all. I’m in Australia at the moment for the 24hr World Champs, so will have to miss a few. It’s a tough old life. I will be back at the end of the month, might do the one at Woodhall as I’m told that will be a good course. I like the ones in the trees, but 16 laps of a playing field doesn’t really appeal to me.
Will you be doing many of them? I might watch and cheer at a few more. Come and say hi if you spot me (I will be in the Sleaford Wheelers kit, with a beard and orange helmet. Just ask for Crasher…)
