    Seemingly could be a good idea, and small, with a good battery life but has anyone got first hand experience? But not practical for bikes is my take.

    Bluetooth LE has a range of about 10m max, line of sight with nothing in the way. I can see my bike further away than that.

    And the odds of someone else picking it up? Slim to none.
