Does anyone know the status of this track that connects Youlgrave (Conksbury) to Over Haddon. It's one of those listed on the "definitive Map", but not sure what the access agreement is? Anyone using this at all?

Used it the weekend before last. Been using it for a few years and was under the impression that it was a byway (of sorts). Never had problems on it with other users. It's been used in a number of Trailquests. Great down hill towards the river but can be busy with walkers at times.

Back in your box Lewis! I was mapping a potential route for you when you get your fat backside up here, though it looks like Mark is sorting out the route. Should be OK for a wannabee mountainbiker like yourself.

Thanks MT – Will do an extended Bakewell loop tomorrow then and add that bit in.

NBT – It's listed – but no idea if it's for walkers only or a bridleway.

If you go up hill on Back Ln on to Long Rake, turn right (Northish) for the access to Cales Fm. At the far side of the field follow the wall edge on the left (north westish) and this will take you on a similar track to Monyash via Summerhill Fm to the rather good cafe nest to the pub. Theres loads to do in the area if you don't wan to get into the honey pots of the east and south of Bakewell.
