I’m looking for some very tough spd’s that can comfortably withstand downhill and failed freeride attempts. I have some egg beaters but um Very cautious about using them for such heavy work. I’ve been looking at some Mallets and Acids as definite possibilities but what else is there that you’d recommend or suggest I keep away from?

    Cheers

Shimanos always worked for me had a few sets of 530s cheap enough not to bother rebuilding if the seals go but got some xt trail ones now and really happy with them.

Went through bearings like water on mallets and acids. Including some mid ride failures.

Swapped to Time Z and never looked back.
