    Hi

Just wondering if anyone had any info on Lake Garda, more specifically Torbole? Based in Austria and thinking of heading down there on Sunday.

Was looking at doing the Naranch trail and maybe some other ones in the area. Anyone have any recommendations or able to help with extra info?

    Thanks in advance

    Andy

Michael Cycle is your man (Qwackers on here). He guides there for what seems like 11 months a year, though I think he’s back in the UK right now.

Great place, amazing riding. Make use of the bike shuttles and guides to make the most of your time there.

Depends if you like climbing as well as descending. If you like only the latter there are plenty of companies specializing in uplift tours. If you like climbing there is a well used trail starting from Riva and heading out along the other side of the lake from Torbole. It starts at the side of the first road tunnel and heads up to Lago di Ledro where there are a few way armed MTB trails. Or Malcesine has a cable car onto Monte Baldo and there are a few DH routes b ack down to the lake. Another popular route is Monte Tremalzo which is usually an uplift and a ride back to Riva. This gives you an idea of the type of riding.

Have a look for Luca bike shuttle who is based in Torbole although I think he posted on FB the other day that it might be the last uplift of the season. There is some snow in places there already.
All sorts of riding there depending on what you like although they’re not always easy to follow. If you go the the tourist info at the port in Riva, they’ll sell you a trail map for 4euros.
