I had a root treatment on a molar about 18 months ago and everything was fine, until this weekend WHEN IT STARTED TO HURT LIKE AN ABSOLUTE BASTARD.

How can a tooth with no nerve in it start hurting?

They don’t always get it all 🙁
But it might just be referred pain from the one next door.

IANAD, just had loads of tooth pain 🙁

Could also be an abscess which is affecting teeth either side.

My dentist tells me that my teeth have quite an array of nerves in them and when he does a root canal job he needs to poke down a few holes to get them all. Once he even drilled through a crown he had fitted 6 months prior in order to get at the last pesky bit.

It turns out that the one next to it had cracked. Sat here with a numb face and a temporary filling. Let’s see if it works, otherwise it’ll be a more expensive fix.

Teeth are bollocks. So is getting older.

I disagree. Getting older is the only thing keeping us alive.
