  • Tool Lithium Batteries – Genuine or Non?

I use Ryobi cordless tools for most jobs around the house and garden. Two of my Lithium batteries have failed. I’ve tried opening them up and replacing the 18650 cells inside without success – they don’t take charge in my Ryobi charger.

Has anyone ever bought the probably non-genuine batteries from Ebay – shipping from China? They are half the price of those shipping from this country (which could easily be hooky themselves). Any tales of woe / explosion / poor stamina? I’ll most likely get 1.4ah models as they are almost half the weight of the bigger versions.

Our company use the makita li ion 18v copys and all good to be honest we go through batteries like screws and they still get a 3yr warranty.
