Yeah…. maybe so…maybe so….. but we Tripsterists have raised an army of many….hear our cry coming over the Monadhliath…

We Are Legion ……..but admittingly travelling very slowly as we stop often for coffee breaks and general faffing about with kit issues

Might be the light but do the forks look weird to anyone else?

Yes they do & yes you can clearly see it’s the light from the flash.
On a positive note, looks great & I’d love a go on that.

Hi Ken, looks very nice. Something different about the fork tho … unusual angle or something?

I assume it’s just this one

Scotroutes…..yes it is one of those

It’s the light that makes the fork look an odd shape.

    Here’s a garage pic

When your on your small 34t ring – how much room is there between the front mech and the nano 40c tyres?

    Any chance of a pic?

How’s it ride Ken? Got a frame stashed in the loft i need to build up.

I have been umming and arrhing re a Ti ‘Adventure’ bike.

The Tripster is damn near impossible to get hold of so I have been eyeing the Pickenflick.

Some feed back on the ride qualities of the frame and the geometry would be much appreciated.

I’ve only ridden it so far with 28mm Conti road tyres on different wheels but it is a smooth and stable ride. It doesn’t feel like it’s flexing and is a definitely comfier ride than the Kona Major Jake it replaced.

I’m looking forward to trying it out with the CX tyres and might even give it a whirl roundsome of CX course in Campbell Park and take it to Woburn.

Framw quality wise…..it looks nicely welded, it fitted together without any hassles, all the threads were good and it looks straight. My only hassle was fitting the Rotor 3D road chainset. I had to put a 1mm spacer behind the drive side BB cup so the chainring bolt cleared the frame

I’ll let you know how I get on.

I looked at the pickenflick but it lacks any guard and rack mounts which for an adventure bike was a bit of a no no for me. Ended up plumping for a lynskey and it’s really nice. With 25mm slicks it has handled the commute, fire road and even some singletrack in January!
